This article presents the author's views on the various socio-political issues in the U.S. According to the author the violence and murder rate in the U.S. are unique in the world. The U.S. has over a million people in prison and another couple of million on probation or parole. 58 percent of those in the federal prisons are there for drug offenses. Most are not dangerous to the public, and even though the over-kindly government thinks they are dangerous to themselves, they should still be allowed to pursue their constitutional, if unhealthful, happiness in freedom.
