This article presents information regarding the Republication Gingrich Newt's war on institutions and ideas that could help resist their right-wing juggernaut. In the guise of populist reforms, the Republicans are increasing the power of rich white guys. The most famous of the doomed bodies is the Black Caucus, but also marked for extinction are the Hispanic and Women's caucuses, several regional groupings and two partisan think tanks. Only a handful truly fit the definition of special interests like the caucuses for the auto, steel and textile industries.
