The article focuses on Mario Moretti's book "Mario Moretti: Brigate Rosse." Moretti has described the action and execution in Aldo Moro's episode, who is a key figure in Italy's ruling Christian Democracy. Mario admitted that to have let go Morro without an exchange would have been to admit that the revolutionary policy is on the defensive and the state is invincible. Moretti argued that their defeat coincided with the economic crisis, the restructuring of industry and the collapse of militancy in the labor movement. The move from factory to society at large and to an attack on the state, of which the Moro episode was a climax, was in itself a signal that the movement was losing its bearings.
