The article focuses on political developments in the U.S. From the tactical point of view Bill Clinton supporters like politicians Maurice Isserman and Michael Kazin, should understand that it's better for Clinton to be attacked from the left. He can brandish such onslaughts as evidence of his posture as a man of the center. The article further presents information about Mobutu Sese Seko who was propelled into the presidency of the Congo in a Central Intelligence Agency-backed coup in 1965. Since then he has salted away $5 billion in European banks, while Zaire's magnificent resources of timber, copper and diamonds are looted by firms purchasing Mobutu's patronage.
