The article discusses controversy related to few appoints to some important offices during regime of the U.S. President, Bill Clinton. Clinton hadn't even finally nominated Deval Patrick as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights when the right wing drumbeat commenced. Clinton finally seems to hear that tune for what it is. Patrick's critics "don't give a riff about civil rights," Clinton said in a rare combative mood. By nominating someone from. the Legal Defense and Education Fund, Clinton clearly hopes to restore confidence among African-American leaders and civil rights advocates.
