The article presents information on Tip O'Neill, a U.S. statesman. He was Speaker of the U.S. House during the tenure of Jimmy Cater and Ronald Reagan. Hew was one of the most powerful politicians of the U.S. when many events determining the future of national and international history where taking place. He helped turn Carter's first tax reform into its opposite and helped begin the supply-side frenzy and arms buildup that would come to a climax under Reagan. When Reagan stumbled in a first effort to cut social security, Tip fashioned a bipartisan effort that managed it more deftly.
