This article presents information on the role played by the U.S. in solving the political problems being faced by Palestinian nationalists regarding the Gaza strip. It is opined that inspite of the chronic one-sidedness of the discussions of the U.S. administration with visiting delegates of Palestine, a case can be made out for endorsing the interim agreement as it is currently written. Chairman of the Israeli League for Human and Civil Rights opined that Yasir Arafat will be annexed by the American-Israeli security system and the human rights situation may even qualitatively deteriorate.
