This article focuses on a television program "Roseanne." Currently, Roseanne is television's best program, an unfolding comedy that offers the most intriguing situations, witty, observant lines and precise and textured performances currently on the air. This accomplishment is something of a surprise, given original expectations for the show and the perceived persona of its guiding genius. Like many sitcoms, Roseanne was originally designed to showcase its star's stand-up humor. Roseanne has enjoyed increasingly less airtime, appearing now primarily as the player of stupid Halloween jokes.
