One of the U.S. President Bill Clinton's strongest moments in the presidential debates came when he quashed the former U.S. President George Bush's criticism of his college protest activities by reminding the then-President that his father, Senator Prescott Bush, had stood up against political leader Joe McCarthy's redbaiting in the 1950s. The Immigration and Naturalization Service loosely calls Khader Hamide and Michel Shehadeh "terrorists," but it does not actually charge them with engaging in terrorist activities.
