The article presents information on various motion pictures. The film "Malcolm X," directed by Spike Lee, has the narrative, which leaves no room for spontaneity. With Malcolm, Lee portrays a man who continually transformed himself. With the Nation of Islam, he confronts a movement that preached black unity and then murdered its one great leader. Malcolm knew how to scare white people silly, while making black people giddy with amazement as their once-secret thoughts were shouted into a microphone.
