This article focuses on the political and economic developments in the U.S. Senator John Kerry has his masterpiece. The 794-page report on the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (B.C.C.I) released by his subcommittee is crammed with tales of financial deceit, intelligence skulduggery and high-powered influence peddling. In March 1991 the subcommittee learned that a few years earlier the C.I.A. had prepared a report on B.C.C.I.'s criminal activities and shared it with the Customs Service. Bill Clinton hangs out with people soft on corporate crime. Last month, his campaign released a list of 400 corporate supporters.
