The article presents information about two books. The books are: "Racism and Justice: The Case for Affirmative Action," by Gertrude Ezorsky and "Reflections of an Affirmative Action Baby," by Stephen Carter. Ezorsky's short study, "Racism and Justice: The Case for Affirmative Action," is a lucid, refreshingly elegant guide to the history and moral foundations of affirmative action. By comparison, Carter's "Reflections of an Affirmative Action Baby," is considerably harder to summarize. Indeed, part of its premise is the rejection of easy labels.
