This article focuses on videos of songs and entertainment. The author describes about the videotape "The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant," by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, made in 1972. The author describes it as a seriocomedy about homosexual love. In its tragic vein it takes the blues line and in its comic the French. It offers a conception of the terror and complication and pity of human lives and concludes almost with a wisecrack. Fassbinder's biggest commercial success was "The Marriage of Maria Braun," and "The Bitter Tears."
