The article presents information on politician Louis Farrakhan. In the past year he has been the subject of widely publicized feature-length interviews in the periodicals "The Washington Post" and "The Washington Times" and in other non-black publications as well. He tore up the campaign trail on behalf of local and Congressional candidates in the Nation of Islam's first direct foray into electoral politics. He was prominent at rallies and demonstrations in support of embattled former Washington Mayor Marion Barry, despite having denounced him only a few months earlier as a drug fiend and philanderer. Farrakhan has even been a featured solo guest on Donahue.
