The author comments on the crisis facing pension funds in the U.S. He notes that under the current law, plan participants have little or no control over pensions established in their name. He also stresses that a determined plan could address the pension crisis before it gets any worse, and corporations should be obliged to make up for their past and present derelictions by reforming their employees' retirement funds.
