The author offers his views on the popularity of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. According to Clinton's former Chief of Staff John Podesta, he did not fade away like other presidents because he believes that politics matters and government matters, and who wins elections matter. The author notes that most Democrats seem to have internalized Clinton's conservative economic doctrine, fiscal responsibility and balanced budgets.
