Navy Captain Eugene McDaniel is getting to be something of a regular on The Morton Downey Jr. Show, albeit one who seems more than somewhat out of place. On an appearance last July, McDaniel read a letter he had sent that very day, informing U.S. President Ronald Reagan that Jane Fonda, if asked, is willing to help obtain the release of Americans held prisoner in Southeast Asia, and urging him to dispatch her, forthwith, to Hanoi. For years, activists like Cap'n have been trying to locate and rescue the hundreds of Americans they insist are held in Southeast Asia internment camps. They've been unsuccessful because the prisoners of war who did not return in 1973 have probably long since perished.
