The article features Kathleen Hanna of the punk/dance band Le Tigre. It discusses the political views and ideas of Hanna, including issues on violence, unequal pay and human rights. Hanna, a feminist in the indie-rock scene, formed the punk/dance band in 1999 with Johanna Fateman and Sadie Benning. She has worked with several bands, like Amy Carter, Viva Knieval and Bikini Kill, before forming Le Tigre.
