The article provides information on the magazine "Punk Planet," based in Chicago, Illinois. It discusses the definition of punk and punk music. Punk has been defined as a musical tradition which existed in 1976, but somehow evolved into the categories of lifestyle, ethic and worldview. "Punk Planet" was started by its editor, Daniel Sinker in 1994 as a student of Art Institute in Chicago. The creation of the periodical was aimed at restoring and providing an alternate punk tradition, which relates popular music and culture to politics, workplace and everyday life.
