The author recounts an experience in which physicians were invited to hear a lecture about financial planning but eventually lead to the marketing of certain drugs. The physician author and his wife had been invited to a lecture sponsored by a pharmaceutical company. They expected that the topic would be financial planning. But the lecturers talked about and presented slides about certain drugs and drug stocks instead of investments. The event turned out to be a propaganda than a financial planning gathering. To make matters worse, food were served later, after several presentations had already been made.
