The article answers various question on politics, civil service, child rearing, and stock manipulation in the U.S. One reader says that as a newly elected member of Congress, he is appalled at the high cost of living in Washington. Now, he asked what is a hard-working public servant to do. Another reader says that he would like a job in public service, but his children are wild. They steal all his photo ops and the sherry. The tabloids have portrayed them shooting at the neighbors' cats, hacking into the school computer to change their grades and generally raising hell. Inasmuch as he had just been nominated for a high-level government appointment, he wonders whether he may legally lock up the children till after his confirmation.
