The article discusses the plight of the Democratic party to regain power in the U.S. Congress. The role of progressive and populist candidates in the 2004 Presidential election is discussed. It states that if politician Ralph Nader runs for the presidency it will hurt the Democrats. The reasons why presidential candidate Al Gore did not win in the year 2000 are given; Advice on how the Democrats can defeat President George W. Bush in the 2004 election are presented. It is suggested that Nader should continue to build the Green Party.
