The article discusses the plight of Democrats and Republicans in the U.S. to gain majority control of the U.S. Congress. U.S. Senator Jim Jeffords quit the Republicans and caucus with the Democrats, which rewrote the game plan for the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush. Bush pushed the presidential-campaign-style to get Republican voters energized and convince undecided voters that switching control of the Senate is an act of patriotism. If the Republicans gain control of the Senate, the administration has realized plan for an immediate push to lock in long-term tax cuts, launched a major drive to limit lawsuits against corporations and placed judicial nominations on a fast track.
