FIGHTING TERRORISM WITH DEMOCRACY

The article focuses on the decision of the U.S. to wage war on terrorism against Iraq. The move of the White House to attack Iraq shows that the government is taking action in response to the September 11 attack. However, it does not provide an assurance that there will be less terrorist attacks in the future. Even the government has never even tried to argue on that because it is also baffled about how to insure national security. The move is in line with the interest of the government to make sure that the country thinks itself as at war for as long as possible so as to bring about the permanent militarization of the state.
