In this article, the author discusses the proposal of the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush to change the regime of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. The author approaches the proposal as one who has been in favor of regime change in Iraq for quite a long time, and who considers himself a friend of those Iraqis and Iraqi Kurds who have risked so much to bring it about. However, the author has a number of concerns about the proposed attack on Iraq. He cites the impact of the involvement of Middle Eastern governments in the attack.
