The article discusses the efforts of the advertising industry to gain approval to use the music of The Doors for commercials. Apple Computer wants to pay a million and a half dollars to use "When the Music's Over" in an advertisement for a computer software. In 1967, Buick wanted to use "Light My Fire" to advertise its Opel automobile, but lead singer Jim Morrison protested against it. One of the members of the band is in favor of such offers. All the members had agreed to share all songwriting credits and money back in 1965.
