This article traces out links between Enron Corp. and the U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney in the wake of political scandal related to the company. The Houston-based firm enjoyed a level of vice-presidential attention during the Cheney's first year that included explicit support of Enron's choices for key regulatory positions, intervention in the government and the structuring of an energy policy task force to allow Enron and other corporations to effectively set policy. Cheney and his aides met at least six times with Enron officials while preparing the report which is the basis for the Administration's energy policy proposals.
