The article reports on the results of the 2009 election in Greece. The central focus of the article is that the Greek electorate shifted significantly to the left wing, voting out prime minister Kostas Karamanlis and giving the post to George Papandreou. Among other issues the article examines the degree of political corruption extant in Greece.
