The article discusses the implications of a grassroots movement in the United States that is concerned about "food democracy" and consumers' right to have access to safe, nutritious food. Five people in the food movement offer their views on how food democracy can be attained. They are Dan Barber, Alice Waters, Grace Lee Boggs, LaDonna Redmond, and Dave Murphy.
