Pakistan's Missing Peace

In this article the author comments on events in Pakistan current in May 2009. At issue is the conflict taking place between Pakistani armed forces and the Taliban guerrillas in the Swat Valley region. A number of questions related to the fighting are examined including the role played by the U.S., popular support for the offensive and Pakistan-India relations.
