No Defense: How the "New York Times" Convicted Wen Ho Lee

The article focuses on the case of Dr. Wen Ho Lee who was accused of spying against the U.S. government while working in a nuclear weapons lab. And this spy story was driven by the New York Times. However, he was released by the Federal District Court in Albuquerque on September 13. Lee sat in jail for one reason and one reason only: the Administration wanted to prove to its critics that it was tough on Chinese spying, whether or not that spying existed and whether or not it had anything to do with Wen Ho Lee.
