The article focuses on the dire effects of divorce on children with reference to the book "The Unexpected legacy of Divorce," by Judith Wallerstein. This book covers her ongoing study of 131 children whose parents were going through divorce in Mann County, California, in 1971. She believes that parents should grit their teeth and stay together as she found that the children of such parents are suffering with problems like lack of trust in relationships, drugs and drinking habits, low-self esteem and unsatisfactory jobs.
