The article offers commentary on "Washington Post" newspaper editorials concerning Russian leader Vladimir Putin's possible misuses of power, such as the war between Russia and Georgia. The author analyzes the newspaper's editorial "More Poison: Another Prominent Adversary of Vladimir Putin Is Mysteriously Exposed to Toxins," which accused Putin of poisoning a human rights lawyer. The author details how he sought out the "Le Figaro" journalist who originated the story.
