The article discusses the way that the voter registration organization ACORN has been blamed for voter fraud, banking industry irresponsibility, and the 2008 U.S. financial crisis. The author states that the "Wall Street Journal" accused ACORN of promoting the Community Reinvestment Act which helped usher in the subprime loans scandal, and of trying to create a trust fund from the U.S. bailout bill.
