The article focuses on attempts by the Canadian government to shut the country's Green Party candidate Elizabeth May out of Canada's nationally televised debates between the candidates vying in the October 14 election. May was supported by citizens and by ex-prime minister Joe Clark. The author points out that U.S. citizens should protest that Green candidate Cynthia McKinney, Libertarian Bob Barr, and independent candidate Ralph Nader be allowed into U.S. televised debates.
