The article discusses the U.S. presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, candidate for the U.S. Green Party. An advocate for environmental and peace activists, McKinney will run as an antiwar candidate. Not initially interested in accepting the party's nomination, McKinney finally accepted the party's nod and promised to make herself heard during the campaign. McKinney states that it was time for a women, a person of color, and a member of the U.S. Armed Services Committee to run for office.
