The article considers U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama's decision to refuse public financing for his presidential campaign, and whether this move will help his chances of being elected. Obama supports the Fair Elections Now Act, and has received praise from the U.S. Public Campaign Action Fund, but has received criticism from campaign fund reformers like Russ Feingold who declared Obama's move unwise.
