The article examines the so-called "global water justice" movement. The term refers to a loose coalition of activists in different countries who are pressing for universal access to clean water. Reversing past policies privatizing water-supply and distribution systems is their top priority. The movement is especially vigorous in Latin America, which has abundant natural water supplies, but where there is a very low rate of access to clean water.
