With TV screens in the middle of their Day-Glo stretchy suits and fuzzy antennae quivering above alien bushbaby faces, the stars of "Teletubbies," the BBC hit show for toddlers could be direct descendants of the artist's eighties subway images. "Teletubbies" is very, very big in Great Britain, and one can bet it will be big in the U.S. Outraged British parents cried that the show has no educational value. The makers of the show at Ragdoll Productions have been quick to assert the right of small children to pure entertainment while soothing parents' anxieties about the show's educational credentials.
