The author of the article reports that the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush has tried to sanction Iran for supporting terrorists but has been in alliance with Iran in the support of the Shiite-led Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. The author points out that by toppling Iraq leader Saddam Hussein, we have given Iran its best position in Iraq. With this presence, Iran can help broker peace in Iraq, or send the country into civil war.
