This article focuses on a new emerging global style of protests. The slogan "Reclaim the World: www.a16.org," referring to the official Web site of the organizers of the protests in Washington on April 16, has recently started turning up painted on the sidewalks of New York's Lower East Side. But what some U.S. activists do not know is that terms like "a16" and "N30" are the creation of Reclaim the Streets (RTS) a London, England group that successfully commingles underground rave culture with social protest and whose global impact has been steadily increasing.
