The article presents information on several theatrical productions and related development in the U.S. Several weeks ago the "Brit Troupe Improbable Theater" made its the U.S. debut by presenting the drama "70 Hill Lane," a piece that, in these days of huge bucks spent to create nothing, makes big theater out of newspapers and Scotch tape. The first act of the play "The Cape man," by Marquis Theater, found the production inert and the attitude toward the characters so generic as to be insulting to them, a point driven home with special force when news footage is screened and glimpses of the social and emotional complexity of the play's source appeared.
