The article focuses on a conference related to universities and colleges. Women today constitute 54 percent of college students 24 and younger and 56 percent of college students overall. Some people have a problem with that. At a conference held in November at Goucher College titled "Fewer Men on Campus," an array of education experts put forth a variety of gloomy explanations: a lack of smart role models for boys in popular culture, the prevalence of female teachers in elementary grades, a lack of attention to boys' developmental needs.
