The article focuses on the television show "Firing Line," by William Buckley. A retrospective of old Firing Lines is shown as a warm-up for the crowd, and there one gets to see politicians Jesse Jackson, William Kunstler, and J.K. Galbraith. Buckley is more languid than usual, as perhaps befits the retiring honoree. It's difficult to believe that this is the same man who snarled so hatefully at politician Gore Vidal in Chicago in 1968. In the program two hours have been devoted to question of taxation and Internet commerce.
