The article presents an editorial introducing material included in the February 6, 2006 edition of "The Nation." The author reviews how twenty members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus present their views on the foreign and domestic policy challenges facing the United States in light of U.S. President George W. Bush's forthcoming State of the Union address. According to the author, the caucus is trying to reorient the American discourse on issues ranging from national security to health care and tax policy.
