The article reports that Californian voters rejected all eight ballot measures on the special election called by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The ballot was considered a referendum on Schwarzenegger's political agenda. A ballot that would have barred public employee unions from making political donations was defeated. Voters also defeated a measure that would have granted Schwarzenegger more budget authority. Voters rejected a parental notification measure on minors seeking an abortion.
