The article presents the author's comments on the torrid love affairs of U.S. President Bill Clinton. He has been a popular President and orator. For liberals and labor he called for a minimum wage of $6.15. For Wall Street, Clinton supports the opening to privatization of social security, the thin edge of the wedge toward the goal of the mutual funds industry. Recently the President said he hoped that in the new millennium no old people would live in fear of penury and hunger. This brash life force shines through, and to judge by the polls, most Americans admire such determination to survive.
