The article presents information about political developments and other issues related to the U.S. Investigations of Enron as a political scandal now seems to depend on Senator Joseph Lieberman as Lieberman's committee agreed to issue subpoenas seeking information that could shed light on Enron contacts with the White House. The U.S. President George W. Bush is still in favor of Free Trade Area of the Americas, however, fifteen years of the U.S. prescribed free markets and trade liberalization in Latin America have generated an average annual growth rate of only 1.5%.
