This article presents information on special events held in the United States in the year 2001. The Union for Radical Political Economics (URPE) 2001 Summer Conference will be held during August 18-21 2001 at Camp Chinqueka, Bantam. The theme of the conference will be "Who's Losing Out?" Every day, the majority of people, both in the United States and overseas, are losing out. But the pro-globalization forces claim that capitalism is good for everyone. At this summer conference, URPE will try to expose this monumental deception, while offering alternative economic models that promote inclusiveness, accountability and social justice. La Lutta NMC and Stormbringer Community Theater Project are proud to present James Baldwins A Blues for Mister Charlie. The play opens August 24, 2001 and runs through September 9, 2001 at Judson Memorial Church in Washington.
