The article presents information about political issues related to the United States. State insurance funds, supported by employer taxes, have become flush with surpluses during the last few years of falling unemployment. In fifteen states, businesses have received the equivalent of major tax cuts as their unemployment insurance rates were reduced, and other states are planning the same. United States Presidential nominee Ralph Nader of green party could offer the electorate a dose of radical democracy and progressive alternative on trade policy, corporate welfare and other critical issues ignored by the front running candidates of both major parties.
